Educational program and community outreach regarding risk reduction and increase screening for breast and cervical cancer. Provides screening, referrals, case-management and follow-up to diagnosis for county women ages 40-64 years, who lack health insurance and/or have inadequate insurance coverage and meet certain income requirements to cover the following services: Clinical breast exam, pelvic examination with pap testing, mammograms, surgical consult, colposcopy and some diagnostic testing such as breast and cervical biopsies. Winter storms create a higher risk of car accidents, hypothermia, frostbite, carbon monoxide poisoning, and heart attacks from overexertion. Winter storms and blizzards can bring extreme cold, freezing rain, snow, ice, and high winds.

Take Care During Winter Storms:

  • Stay off roads.
  • Stay indoors and dress warmly.
  • Prepare for power outages.
  • Use generators outside only and away from windows.
  • Listen for emergency information and alerts.
  • Look for signs of hypothermia and frostbite.
  • Check on neighbors.

• REPORT IMMEDIATELY sick animals and those acting in an unusual manner, as there may or will be additional rabid animals in this area. Prevent/report contact with people or pets. Contact Animal Control, the County Sheriff’s office or your local Police Department.
