Worcester Health Requests Community Proposals for Teen Health Education Projects

Snow Hill, MD – The Worcester County Health Department is requesting proposals for the implementation of youth teen pregnancy and sexually transmitted infection prevention education.

These grant opportunities are available as a result of receiving funding from the State of Maryland and Personal Responsibility Education Program. Community-based organizations, churches, and other interested organizations are encouraged to apply for these funding opportunities.

True You Maryland: Organizations will use funds to implement Promoting Health Among Teens- Comprehensive education or Making Proud Choices program. To be eligible for funding, your organization must serve Worcester County youth residents. Organizations are able to request up to $10,000. Funded organizations will be expected to deliver the educational program(s) to a minimum of 30-35 Worcester County youth ages 14-19.

Personal Responsibility Education Program: Organizations will use funds to implement Promoting Health Among Teens- Comprehensive education or Making Proud Choices program. To be eligible for funding, your organization must serve Worcester County youth residents. Organizations are able to request up to $6,000. Funded organizations will be expected to deliver the Promotion Health Among Teens- Comprehensive education program or Making Proud Choices curriculum to a minimum of 13-17 Worcester County youth ages 12-19.
