Mini Grant Applications 2026
Below are the digital application packets for all currently available community-based mini grant opportunities. To request a paper application, please call 410-632-1100 ext. 1119. Applications must be returned to the Worcester County Health Department (6040 Public Landing Rd. Snow Hill, MD.) by September 16, 2026, no later than 4:30 p.m. A review team will evaluate the applications, and awards will be made after October 1, 2026.
True You Maryland
Organizations will use funds to implement Promoting Health Among Teens- Comprehensive education or Making Proud Choices program. To be eligible for funding, your organization must serve Worcester County youth residents. Organizations will be able to request up to $10,000. Funded organizations will be expected to deliver the educational program(s) to a minimum of 30-35 Worcester County youth ages 14-19.

Personal Responsibility Education Program
Organizations will use funds to implement Promoting Health Among Teens- Comprehensive education or Making Proud Choices program. To be eligible for funding, your organization must serve Worcester County youth residents. Organizations will be able to request up to $6,000. Funded organizations will be expected to deliver the Promotion Health Among Teens- Comprehensive education program or Making Proud Choices curriculum to a minimum of 13-17 Worcester County youth ages 12-19.

Tobacco Enforcement Projects
Funding will be awarded to one non-governmental entity to provide tobacco retailer education about the laws related to youth tobacco access. The selected organization will receive $10,000 to provide one on one education to 50 Worcester County tobacco retailers, providing 2 education sessions per retailer for a total of 100 education sessions total.

Tobacco Control Projects
Organizations will use funds for the implementation of youth and/or adult community tobacco prevention and control. To be eligible for funding, your organization must serve Worcester County residents and/or employees. Organizations will be able to request up to $5,000 and awards will depend upon the quality of proposals received and number of requests.

Youth Cannabis Use Prevention
Funded organizations will implement strategies and projects to address cannabis use prevention among youth. To be eligible for funding, your organization must serve Worcester County youth. Organizations will be able to request up to $8,000 and awards will depend upon the quality of proposals received and number of requests.
